| Youth Bicycle Education in Philadelphia!
Neighborhood Bike Works is a nonprofit educational organization in West Philadelphia that seeks to increase opportunities for urban youth through bicycling, and which promotes cycling as an environmentally-friendly means of transportation.
It started in 1996 as Youth Cycle & Recycle, a program of The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia. We organized as a separate non-profit in July 1999, and opened the Haddington Neighborhood Shop in 2001. Today, we hold classes at the two permanent shops and in several public schools and community centers. Call to find out about an Earn a Bike class near you!
The fine print: Neighborhood Bike Works is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State. Registration does not imply endorsement.
