Donate Your Bike

When can i drop off my bike or gear donation?

Thursdays, noon-6
You do not need to call ahead or make an appointment to drop off a donation during this time.

If you have only one bicycle to drop off, you may drop it off during additional times of:

Tuesday/Thursday evenings from 6:30-9pm and Tuesday/Thursday/Fridays noon-4pm.

If you have more than one bicycle or a whole load of gear, please drop it off during the regular Thursday hours or reach out to schedule another time: info@neighborhoodbikeworks.org / call (267) 728-0211.

Do you pick up bikes?

Sorry, we are unable to pick up bikes at this time.

Do you have other donation drop-off points?

Sorry, we don't have any other drop off points. Let us know if your office or shop is willing to be a drop point for bike donations for NBW.

What do you do with bike donations?

All of the programs we run at Neighborhood Bike Works depend on donated bikes, parts, and accessories. Every year our youth take home bikes through our Earn-A-Bike and Graduate Level programs or use them for our ride-based programs like Ride Club and Monthly Group Rides. Other bikes we sell at subsidized rates in our retail shop, helping more adults have reliable transportation so that they can get to work, school or to participate in the community.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes, we are a 501c3 nonprofit and will offer you a donation receipt for your records.

Do you buy bikes?

Sorry, we do not buy bikes.

Can I trade in my old bike for a new one?

Sorry, we do not do trades

Do you do bike drives?

We love it when volunteers and others do bike drives on our behalf. We offer several types of support for groups that are interested in doing bike drives as a service project. Take a look at our guide and get in touch with us if you are interested! How to Organize a Bike Drive for Neighborhood Bike Works.
