In December 2009, Neighborhood Bike Works opened our North Philly location. Located on bustling West Susquehanna Ave, NBW North Philly is just blocks away from many public schools and Temple University. This location offers many programs to youth in the area, including Earn-a-Bike classes, drop-in bicycle repair sessions, and monthly group rides! In the past, we have also offered Adventure Rides during the spring and summer, and “Writing & Wrenching”, a class in collaboration with Tree House Books, which is located just next door! In August 2011, NBW North Philly launched our inaugural North Philly Summer Bike Camp.

This location is also Neighborhood Bike Works’ first full service repair shop. We serve the greater community with reasonably priced repairs and used bikes for every budget.

Our open shop night “Bike Salon” is a bicycle co-op where volunteers help community members learn basic bicycle repair skills and maintain their own bikes. All are welcome!
